Janice McGeachin is slightly embarrassed after she overstepped her authority and willfully instituted a mask mandate while her boss was out of town. The division that the mask has caused is tremendous. People are fighting over wearing or not wearing one. While the Democratic Party sits on their thrones, laughing at the mess they have caused by creating fear in people.
The people that the snotty lies of the Democrats have kissed are out trying to make a difference regarding beating COVID-19. For Janice McGeachin, her opportunity to shine came when her boss Governor Brad Little left the state for some business that needed to be done.
McGeachin betrayed her running mate and boss by stepping out behind his back and instituting the mask mandate ban that she did not have the power to authorize. Little called her action an “irresponsible, self-serving political stunt.”
Little left it up to local governments to decide if they needed a mandate or not. He did not see the reasoning behind the power to take that decision away from the people. While most people do not agree with Little’s decision to let local governments decide, it does make sense.
He stated that “An executive order that was issued while I was out of state this week runs contrary to a basic conservative principle – the government closest to the people governs best. I do not like petty politics. I do not like political stunts over the rule of law.”
The reasoning behind his philosophy fits well with conservative values. And as much as people would love to have mask mandates banned in the state, he cannot speak for all of the people on the local level.
It is not a matter of if a mandate should be in place for the McGeachin. The issue is that she went around the governor’s back and betrayed any and all trust that he would have had in her to lead while he was gone. But instead, she made a spectacle of herself and the governor by making it illegal for a mandate to be anywhere in the state.
Petty politics is something that the Democrats know all about. They thrive on doing things that are not legal. They take a path of least resistance and do things against the will of the people and that do not follow the correct procedure. Barack Obama changed immigration laws by setting up the DACA program. He would later admit that it was wrong for him to take that action. It should have been a matter left to the legislature to work out.
Little would also blast his underling by stating, “Taking the earliest opportunity to act solitarily on a highly politicized, polarizing issue without conferring with local jurisdictions, legislators, and the sitting Governor is, simply put, abuse of power. This kind of over-the-top executive action amounts to tyranny – something we all oppose.”
McGreachin believes that Little is taking away personal freedoms by having such an order in place. But the way she went about the matter is highly controversial. The Democrats want Republicans fighting over such matters. They want to divide relationships so they can continue to push their agenda on people without them pushing back.
She would go on to note that “It is your God-given right to make your own health decisions, and no state, city, or school district ever has the authority to violate your unalienable rights. I remain undeterred and unwavering in my commitment to defend your rights and freedoms against all who would violate them.”
The sad part is that her action was a political stunt to gain favor with people. She is Little’s competition at this point.
She stated that “I am not running for governor to be popular or because it is easy. This job is hard work and it requires making difficult decisions that aren’t always appreciated.”
Little is the one that makes those decisions now. And it is not up to the underling to overstep her authority and make decisions that she has no business making.
