We can’t possibly get in trouble if we do as our president does, right?
Well, that’s not entirely true. The Democratic Party is ruling the country. We all know that is more of a “do as I say, not as I do” kind of administration.
Joe Biden is as confused as ever as he talks about mask mandates with the country – all while he takes his mask off to talk to everyone indoors.
Just a few days ago, President Biden took to the podium to talk about why vaccinated Americans will have to wear masks. It should make sense…but it doesn’t. It also contradicts a lot of what he has said in the past. And he wonders why Americans aren’t lining up in every city to get poked in the arm.
“In a significant part of the country, you wouldn’t have to take one of these off, if you don’t have to put one on,” Biden explains.
Essentially, he’s saying that there would be no mask to take off if we live in a part of the country where we don’t have to put one on. Where would that be, exactly? As the CDC has reversed its recommendations, liberal cities and states around the country are issuing new mask mandates to mask up indoors – regardless of vaccination status.
Washington, DC, however, requires everyone to wear a mask indoors. So, when Biden took his mask off, he broke the recently released guidance.
Confused yet? We’ll keep going…
Biden explained that he didn’t have to wear a mask when he visited his home in Delaware or when he visited Newcastle County, Pennsylvania. Why? Well, there were a lot of people vaccinated in those areas.
Apparently, according to Biden, you don’t have to wear a mask if you are vaccinated and live in an area where there is a high percentage of vaccinated people.
Hmm, so what would he have to say about San Mateo, California? They have a vaccination rate of close to 85 percent, yet they have an indoor mask mandate.
Even in DC, 69 percent of DC residents have been fully vaccinated.
Why the mask mandates? Are we supposed to believe we need these? Biden tries to explain again, “Let’s get that straight. The places where people have gotten vaccinated, where we have a high vaccination rate, people do not have to wear masks at all.”
Okay, what we’re seeing and what we’re hearing are two different things. Perhaps you’d like to try making that a bit clearer, Mr. President. He may need to give an actual vaccination rate that would be acceptable to go maskless. Otherwise, it seems every city is to determine what’s considered a “high” vaccination rate.
If we look at DC, 69 percent isn’t high enough. In San Mateo, CA, 85 percent isn’t high enough. So, what is high enough that we can avoid wearing masks indoors if we’re vaccinated? Well, Biden can’t say – and that’s the problem.
Oh, but he does want to blame a lot of his backtracking on the new variant. You know – the one where vaccinated people are still not getting sick from it. The one where only the unvaccinated are getting sick – and still not at any kind of alarming rate as the original COVID-19 in 2020.
But that’s okay. We’ll just do what Biden does – talk about a mask mandate and, then, take our masks off. Hey, if it works for Joe, it can work for us…right?
