This is a much-needed moment for the rest of America. Ashli Babbitt’s husband Aaron finally got the chance to tell her side of the story, as he made an appearance on Tucker Carlson Tonight on Thursday. He had no choice after MSNBC decided to give his wife’s killer the chance to explain himself. Lt. Michael Byrd finally broke his silence and let the world know more about who he is.
If we were him, we would have stayed in hiding. There’s not much good that can come from this. The Capitol Police were not willing to confirm his name or identity initially, which seemed like the best choice. The name was all over the place if you watched conservative media sources but we digress!
Byrd believes that he saved “countless lives” by ending Babbitt’s. The woman was not even armed at the time. Byrd also said that he has been receiving a wide range of death threats. He did not realize that the woman he murdered was an Air Force veteran. He is taking great pains to show how “disheartening” the decision was.
It’s not something that he wanted to do but that does not explain why he made the choice to pull the trigger in that fateful moment. Babbitt’s husband was not about to pull any punches in the response interview. He said that this officer needs to suck it up. Aaron Babbitt has already had enough of his “woe is me” tour and we can fully understand why.

Imagine how you would feel if your unarmed wife was murdered by a police officer and they had to watch the officer who did the shooting talk about how bad they feel inside. It should go without saying that it would infuriate just about anyone with a pulse. Babbitt’s pain is being felt by the conservative crowd that was told that their legitimate concerns do not matter.
Leftists have been laughing it up over her death since it took place and it’s such a terrible look. That’s not something that this crowd is concerned with. Every death of a conservative is worth celebrating for them. They’ll throw a party on social media every single time and it’s sad to watch.
“I don’t even want to hear him talk about how he’s getting death threats and he’s scared,” Aaron Babbitt says. “I’ve been getting death threats since Jan. 7 — two, three, five, 10 a day — and all I did on Jan. 6 was become a widower. So, you’re going to have to suck it up, bud, and take it.” How could anyone want to threaten this man who lost his wife?
It’s a sickening display from the far left but we already know that they are proud of themselves. Carlson also correctly noted something else about the officer who pulled the trigger. Byrd is known to many as the officer who managed to slip up and leave his loaded gun sitting in a bathroom in the Capitol building back in 2019.

“She was 5’2, she was unarmed, there were armed police in tactical gear standing right next to her on the other side of the door,” Carlson notes. “She was not warned, the tape shows that — she was just executed. But she was a threat, that’s what he’s telling you.” Carlson and Babbitt’s anger levels are through the roof at the moment and we can see why that is.
They are tired of the doublespeak that is taking place in the mainstream media. They want everyone to feel bad for the officer who pulled the trigger and not the person who died as a result of his actions. To make matters worse, the officer has already been cleared. We’ll leave you with this saddening quote. “The investigation revealed no evidence to establish that, at the time the officer fired a single shot at Ms. Babbitt, the officer did not reasonably believe that it was necessary to do so in self-defense or in defense of the Members of Congress and others evacuating the House Chamber,” said federal prosecutors.
