AOC’s “Present” Vote is Proof She Doesn’t Belong in Politics

When politicians in Congress have to vote on something, they can choose to vote “present” as opposed to choosing a side. It’s not a desirable way to vote, though, because it means that an entire district of the U.S. didn’t get to have a say.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez represents a district in New York. When she votes, she should be voting based on the needs and wants of her district. If she votes “present,” it means that she doesn’t want to vote in one direction or another – and that’s not what her district actually wants. They want a representative who will listen and who will take their needs to DC.

AOC is far too political to listen to her district. After all, she’s had Nancy Pelosi as a role model. With the homelessness and crime in Pelosi’s district, it’s become clear that she doesn’t listen to the people.

During a vote in the House, AOC had to vote on whether funds should be allotted to help Israel with their Iron Dome defense system. The vote passed within the House, though no thanks to the bleeding heart liberal. Instead, she decided that she wanted to play the victim.

Now, at this point, you might be asking how AOC is the victim. She’s not from Israel or Palestine. She’s a New Yorker with Puerto Rican roots. Oh, but that’s not going to stop the drama queen from making a vote all about her…

She wrote a letter where she confessed to crying. “I wept at the complete lack of care for the human beings that are impacted by these decisions, I wept at an institution choosing a path of maximum volatility and minimum consideration for its own political convenience.”

AOC knew that the vote would go to help Israel with their Iron Dome defense system. This should be a good thing. The U.S. is going to protect thousands if not millions of people from being killed by bombs and such. Yet, that’s not the human beings AOC cares about.

That’s when people of all political affiliations knew that they had heard enough. How dare this Democratic Socialist make such an important issue all about her. They scolded the congresswoman publicly across every platform of social media.

They called her an anti-Semitist and they shamed her for declaring herself as a victim in all of this.

As Arsen Ostrovsky, an international human rights lawyer, said on Twitter, “poor thing” all because she cried knowing that the Iron Dome would save the lives of both innocent Israelis and Palestinians.

What exactly is AOC weeping about? Oh, well, AOC feels that the bill to fund the defense system is an “unjust, reckless process.” If it were up to her, there would be no dome. That would allow the innocent Israelis to simply be killed. Apparently, AOC feels that such an action would be more just and less reckless.

She could have chosen to take a stand. She could have voted against the bill. She could have done a lot of things. Instead, she played the coward’s card by voting as “present.” Then, she had the audacity to turn around and play the victim’s card.

This might have been the proverbial nail in her political coffin. Republicans and Democrats alike are tired of listening to what AOC has to say. And now that she’s let it be known just how Anti-Semitic she is, she may not be around for much longer.
