The supply chain crisis is a making of Joe Biden’s design. He needed an issue to solve to play the heart of the hero and solve the problem. Biden’s plan to solve the port crisis insisted that the ports stay open 24 hours a day and seven days a week to process container ships. His plan sounded good to all his liberal buddies, but in the end, it did not make a bit of difference.
The massive collection of container ships continues to grow and plug up the waters around the west coast. Biden’s plan fell short because he didn’t cover all of the bases. He failed to realize that Gavin Newsom is part of the climate control regulations that keep trucks older than 2011 from driving in the state. And he certainly did not consider the delivery aspects of the merchandise coming off the ships.
There is no reason why Biden should only be focusing on one port of entry when there are several around the country. He could direct the containers ships to Florida, where the ports are open and ready for business with no backlog. Except he does not want to work with Republican governors.
The president stated that there would be a window of 90-days where the cargo would be offloaded and trucked out to the consumers. But the truth is that he has not delivered on his promise to streamline the offload process. So, truckers and shipping companies are sitting around waiting for the old man to get up and get moving with his plan.
The Wall Street Journal reported that “One terminal at the Port of Long Beach flung open its gates around the clock for truckers in mid-September, from Monday to Thursday. But no trucks showed up, prompting the terminal to tighten the rules. In late September, it said it would open during overnight hours only if 25 trucks made appointments. Since then, those criteria were met only one night, and only five big rigs showed up.”
And the reason why is that Newsom and his ridiculous regulations prohibit the vast majority of trucks from operating in California because of their age. He falsely believes that the trucks are killing off the environment and setting his state on fire.
The ports are open, but no trucks can get to the offload area because they cannot legally drive on the roads because of their tailpipes. Unless the old man suspends Newsom’s regulations, the problem is only going to get worse, and the ports are going to continue to lose $10,000 per day in extra operating costs.
Gene Seroka is the Executive Director at Port of Los Angeles, and he stated that shipping companies do not work 24 hours per day because of DOT restrictions and other reasons. But Biden continues to think that an ‘open for business’ sign is all it will take to solve a more complex issue.
But when the nation has people such as Pete Buttigieg telling everyone that the crisis is a success, there is no reason to trust anything that any of them say any longer. A clogged port is not a success. Instead, it is a living nightmare.
Buttigieg blurted out that “If you think about those images of ships, for example, waiting at anchor on the West Coast, you know, every one of those ships is full of record amounts of goods that Americans are buying, because demand is up, because income is up, because the president has successfully guided this economy out of the teeth of a terrifying recession. Now the issue is, even though our ports are handling more than they ever have, record amounts of goods coming through, our supply chains can’t keep up. And, of course, our supply chains, that’s a complicated system that is mostly in private hands, and rightly so.”
His statements are so off the wall that it defies all belief that a Democrat could even believe such nonsense. The president and his supporters live in a fake reality detached from what is happening around the country. The only way to solve the problem is to fire Biden and his monkey collection and put a Republican in the White House who knows what they are doing.
