What happens at the state capitol building in every state should be closely monitored. After all, it’s a reflection on the entire state.
We’ve known for a while that the Democratic leadership in Illinois has been destroying the state. They’ve allowed crime to run rampant. And, it’s clear that the governor isn’t going to step in and assist Mayor Lori Lightfoot of Chicago.
Now, it seems that there may be a good reason for it all: Satanic worshipping.
Often, around the holidays, someone types out the word “Santa” but forgets to spell-check, so it ends up being printed as “Satan.” This is not one of those instances.
The Illinois Capitol actually chose to host a Satanic manger display for Christmas. Nothing quite says “Merry Christmas” like seeing a baby Baphomet in the manger as opposed to a baby Jesus.
The Satanic Temple was able to set up a scene in the rotunda of the Illinois Capitol – and they got some help from Christ P. Andres, a horror artist. The celebration was for “Sol Invictus,” which is not only a celebration of the Roman sun god but also something entirely different for Satanists.
The Satanic Temple describes the holiday as “a celebration of being unconquered by superstition and consistent in the pursuit of sharing knowledge.” Erin Helian, the Temple’s Director of Campaign Operations, explained that this year’s tradition features a more urgent message from Baphomet of “harmony and reconciliation.”
Any time that Satan is brought into the equation, it starts to anger the Christians – and for good reason. Bishop Thomas Paprocki of the Diocese of Springfield has said that such a display has no place in the Capitol. It seems that Illinois has forgotten its history – that the country is founded on Christianity, and, therefore, should not be showing any kind of Satanic symbols.
The display that was created features a baby goat demon (Baphomet) above a blue blanket. It is clearly mocking the traditional nativity scene that features the birth of baby Jesus.
This is the third year that this display has been allowed to be set up in the Capitol. It begs the question of what in the world Governor JB Pritzker is thinking.
Often, Democrats try to separate church and state. They want to kick religion out of the government entirely – and high-level Dems in Congress have even questioned the need to say “In God, We Trust” and swear an oath over the Holy Bible.
Andrew Hansen of the Catholic diocese explained that Mocking the millions of Christians in the state of Illinois and billions around the world by depicting the baby Jesus this Christmas with the ‘satanic deity’ Baphomet is the very definition of evil and causing division, but that is to be expected from an organization that is in existence to troll people of faith.”
It seems that Hansen couldn’t be more accurate in the way that he has described what is going on at the Capitol. After all, the Satanic Temple focuses heavily on ways to bother Christians, complete with promoting all things that are against the Christian faith, including abortion.
Allowing a clearly Satanic display in the state Capitol does not eliminate Christianity. Instead, it shows that they are clinging to one faith over another. They have chosen to allow Satanic worshipping as opposed to that of Christian beliefs. And if the state of Illinois has gone over to the dark side, it may help to explain quite a bit of their progressive leadership – and how the state has failed in such epic ways over the past several years.
