When midterms roll around, we as Americans get to see many politicians who are out of touch with the realities of everyday Americans. They try to act like they get us and are just like us. None of them do it as well as the seasoned Democrats, and President Joe Biden is leading the pack at trying to act like he’s one of us. One of his latest steps is to include the term “MAGA” in his speeches.
From “The Great MAGA King” when referring to Trump, or “MAGA Republicans” when referring to his supporters, his tour stops on May 11th were full of his new quips to talk down on people. In Chicago, at the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers International convention, he tells attendees “Look at my predecessor, the great MAGA king — the deficit increased every single year he was president.” Never mind that this claim is something that nobody has been able to avoid since Truman.
He didn’t stop there, though. He swung by the DNC fundraiser and dropped some real pearls of wisdom that the crowd of 40 people turned out for. Calling the victory over Trump a “low bar” as well as telling them that “MAGA Republicans” are “petty,” “mean-spirited” and “extreme.”
But that wasn’t even the worst of his babbling.
“They are cowered by Trump. The fact of the matter is, they run the show — the MAGA Republicans. … It really is beyond the pale.” He also told people that the GOP has a “radical agenda” as well as claimed that it isn’t “your father’s Republican Party.” When asked about the leaked ruling that finally overturns Roe V. Wade he spoke with enthusiasm at the prospect of increasing voter turnout to help the party. He also warned “Inflation is going to scare the hell out of everybody,” which makes it sound like we haven’t even seen the tip of how bad inflation is about to get, and when we do it will be too late to do anything.
This is a President of sound bites. As much as he loves to drone on about Trump, and twist things to make them applicable for or all about himself, President Biden has quite simply proven himself to be one of the worst decisions the American people have ever made politically. The saddest part of all of this, though, is how little his rhetoric changes. He stays focused on the same messages from before and does nothing to say anything new or different.
Given his recent difficulties with forming complete sentences as well as reciting anything without a teleprompter, it’s not surprising to see him stick to these key points. Much like a toddler requires simple phrases that stick in the brain, the senior with mental defects needs them as well. With the 2022 midterms just starting to kick off, the fact that he is starting them with these simple phrases does not bode well for the Democrats come November.
Traditionally, the hardest-hitting messages appear early in the election season. Then they are used again a few months out from the election and ran through like a stop sign if Biden was driving the last 2 weeks of the season.
Given the weak sauce he is leading out with, this is a sign that the Democrats are not prepared for the red wave that is coming in the midterms. They are ill-prepared and ill-equipped to deal with the destruction and devastation that they will be left with. Granted, that is not the fault of any conservative.
If they want to run the trail in denial, let them. It just makes the wins in November that much sweeter with the taste of liberal tears.
