One of the very few bright spots in our two-tiered system of justice that we’ve seen in recent years happened when Kyle Rittenhouse was acquitted of the trumped-up “intentional homicide” charges that overzealous Democrat prosecutors brought against him. But that doesn’t mean it’s going to be easy sailing for Kyle from now on. Far from it. He’s going to have a leftwing target on his back for the rest of his life. Just this week, for example, the father of one of the BLM/Antifa idiots that Kyle righteously blasted is suing him for wrongful death.
Rittenhouse and the city and county of Kenosha are being sued for the “wrongful” death of Anthony Huber. Huber’s father, John Huber, filed the suit. On Wednesday, the judge in the case ruled that it can proceed. Kyle’s attorneys had requested that the suit be dismissed since Kyle was found completely innocent of the charges by a jury of his peers. But it looks like Kyle has possibly drawn a jerk for a judge in the case. We’ll see.
For those who don’t remember the whole chain of events that led to then-18-year-old Kyle Rittenhouse being charged with multiple counts of murder, here’s a quick recap.
During a domestic dispute in which a criminal was trying to kidnap his daughter from his baby momma, the criminal attacked police with a knife. They shot him and paralyzed him by following Joe Biden’s expert “shoot to wound” advice. Because the criminal happened to be black, it was time for BLM and Antifa to burn all the minority-owned businesses to the ground in a series of riots.
Kyle Rittenhouse, a well-behaved, community-minded teenage boy who cares about others, volunteered to go to Kenosha that fateful night to render medical aid to others if needed, and to protect a friend’s car dealership. He brought along his AR-15, which fires a glorified squirrel-rifle round of ammunition that US military doesn’t use because it’s not powerful enough.
Three dangerous, hardened criminals who were members of Antifa/BLM tried to kill young Kyle Rittenhouse. Joseph Rosenbaum was trying to kill Kyle to take away his firearm when Kyle righteously blasted him. While rushing to get help from the police, Anthony Huber knocked Kyle to the ground and attempted to cave his skull in with a skateboard. Kyle ventilated him, too.
Finally, Gaige Grosskreutz ran up to Kyle and tried to place a 9mm pistol to his head to execute him. Kyle blasted Grosskreutz’s bicep off with his rifle in a clip that many of us endlessly watched while laughing at his pain.
Rosenbaum was a convicted pedophile and sex offender. Grosskreutz has a string of misdemeanor offenses in his history, including running around drunk with a firearm, drunk driving, and one felony case that prosecutors dismissed for some reason.
Anthony Huber, the guy whose father is now suing Kyle Rittenhouse, had the lengthiest criminal record of all three of the criminals who were shot by Kyle. Anthony Huber was a wife-beater, so he had a long string of convictions for battery, disorderly conduct, and drug charges. In a 2012 case, Huber held a knife to his roommate’s stomach and threatened to “gut” him, and also choked the guy. He was charged with felony reckless endangerment, strangulation and suffocation, kidnapping, and battery in that case. Nice guy.
Their criminal histories were a big part of why the public is so sympathetic to Kyle Rittenhouse’s situation. He didn’t ask for any of this. A group of domestic terrorists that the Justice Department allows to run free tried to kill Kyle. A jury found Kyle innocent of all charges, but now he gets sued for that night? Please. The left is never going to leave this poor kid alone. Hopefully, he’ll continue to embrace the celebrity status that he never asked for, and gun owners will continue to financially support him and help pay his legal fees. We also hope his attorneys get this case dismissed because Kyle Rittenhouse has been tormented by the Democrat Party for far too long at this point.
