A memo leaked to the New York Times shows that Joe Biden is planning to ban the private sales of firearms in America by the end of this year. Biden plans to use executive orders and the weaponized Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATV) to do so. Biden is planning to announce soon that he will close the so-called “private sales loophole” and the “digital loophole.”

The “private sales loophole” is not a loophole at all. It’s simple commerce that happens when you sell a gun to a friend, neighbor, family member, or complete stranger. You don’t need to have a Federal Firearms License (FFL) to do so in states that respect American civil rights. You can buy a gun at a yard sale in many states right now, no questions asked. Which is as it should be.

It’s none of the government’s business when you sell a gun to someone else for any reason. It’s just like selling your neighbor a lawnmower or a shovel, or any other tool. The main difference, of course, is that a firearm is a constitutionally protected tool.

The so-called “digital loophole”—which is also not a loophole—involves websites like Armslist Firearms Classified. Sites like this basically work like Craigslist, and individuals can list and sell their firearms on them. Armslist doesn’t actually sell any firearms, so it’s unclear how Joe Biden plans to “close the loophole” other than simply seizing their domains and shutting them down directly.

Biden plans to impose these unconstitutional executive orders on everyone sometime before the end of the year. This has nothing to do with making American streets or schools safer. It has everything to do with the fact that leftists hate you and want to hurt you. They’re willing to disarm everyone to get their way.
