For most of the world, even high-profile government officials, anti-American billionaire George Soros and his organizations are pretty untouchable. However, fellow billionaire and free-speech absolutist Elon Musk does not fall into that same category.
And now, Musk has turned his attention to taking Soros out.
It all started when a “censorship agenda” began in Ireland and Scotland that includes “police searches of homes, phones, and computers” for “hate speech” or “hateful material,” a Tuesday post on the Substack Public by Irish journalist Ben Scallan claimed.
Apparently, Irish politicians and non-government organizations (NGOs) such as George Soros Open Society Foundation claim that “hate incidents” across the nation are “rising.” Naturally, the government is responding by attempting to add new “censorship” laws and policies. And, of course, those moves are being heavily backed by Soros’ groups.
But as more than a few have pointed out, data actually shows the opposite is true.
Author and journalist Michael Shellenberger says data actually shows “rising levels of tolerance of minorities.”
So this push to clamp down on “hate speech” and such is all just a farce to “justify a draconian crackdown on free speech.”
And Elon Musk is having none of it.
According to a post made to his X account, he and his companies are taking the fight to Soros’ groups as a result.

As Scallan pointed out, there has been a reported 29 percent increase in “reported hate crimes in 2022 compared to the previous year” by police in Ireland. However, he also notes that an increase in reported “hate” incidents or crimes does not mean an actual increase in those events.
He also explains that for a “hate incident” to be reported, no real evidence is taken into consideration. All it takes is for someone to take something “hate” and report it.
Thanks to this new censorship push, police can then come in and do a full search of everything, including secured computer logins and such.
Yep, this sounds like exactly what it is: an attack on free speech. Thank God Elon Musk won’t let it stand.
