New polling from Monmouth University shows that Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell’s (R-KY) popularity is now at 6% among Americans. We know what you’re thinking: How could Mitch McConnell possibly be that popular? They must have over-sampled Democrat voters for this poll.

McConnell is now the longest-serving minority leader in the history of the US Senate. He likes it there. If he helped the GOP win elections, he’d then have to be the majority leader and might be held accountable for his actions.

During McConnell’s failed tenure, he has racked up an impressive array of losses for the American people. We barely know where to start when it comes to McConnell’s greatest hits. The $30 trillion in national debt is one example, which works out to $101,196 for every single living American. McConnell has never done anything to try to secure America’s borders, which has resulted in stagnant wages for American workers for decades.

Obamacare passed on Mitch McConnell’s watch. Then he held secret meetings with Barack Obama and former House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) to carve out an exemption for Members of Congress and their staffers from Obamacare. Then he wouldn’t repeal Obamacare when he had the chance, despite years of promises to the American voters.

McConnell has never spoken out against social media companies censoring conservatives at the behest of the federal government and the Democrats. Dr. Tony Fauci lied to the Senate twice about gain-of-function research that he paid for illegally with American taxpayer money, yet McConnell has never called for consequences for Fauci.

We’re honestly kind of amazed that Monmouth was able to find the 6% of Americans who still approve of Mitch McConnell. We’ve never met a single person who supports him or thinks he’s doing a great job.
