By now, you’ve probably heard all about Biden’s plan to cancel student loan debt for millions of Americans. But could a recent move by the plan make the whole thing illegal?
That’s what more than a few are suggesting after about 153,000 student debt holders received a personal email from Biden on Wednesday.
Biden will email 153,000 student loan borrowers: I’m canceling your debt https://t.co/ySjbKwm5Ko

Naturally, the email congratulated the individuals on receiving either whole or partial loan debt forgiveness and wished them well in their endeavors to make a better life for themselves and their loved ones.
“Congratulations – all or a portion of your federal student loans will be forgiven because you qualify for early loan forgiveness under my Administration’s SAVE plan.”
The program, titled Biden’s Student Aid for Vocational and Educational program, was implemented last year and offers a full loan discharge after ten years of payments for those who took out $12,000 or less in student loans. For those who borrowed more, the amount of time increases.
Naturally, I am sure a good many of the recipients are grateful to Biden for this.
However, it’s a rather controversial issue, seeing as all of these people knowingly signed on to making loan payments at some point and now their neighbors, many of whom never went to college, are having to pay for their debts.
There is no such thing as student loan "forgiveness."
President Biden is simply transferring the debt to make you and your kids pay back student loans that you never took out.

There’s also the small matter of Biden’s recent email sounding a whole lot like a ploy for additional votes right before an election.
I mean, it’s an election year, Biden is down in the polls, and now he’s sending out personal emails to a select group of voters telling them they’ve essentially been gifted a serious chunk of change to forgive their student debt.
Besides, having all these young people now posting gratuitous screenshots of such an email on social media has got to be a much better campaign plan than the doddering videos Biden’s campaign has put out thus far.
The problem, of course, is that bribing voters is highly illegal. And the optics on this don’t make it seem as though this could be anything else…
